THE OPPOSITION All right! So it doesn't make any sense; we still are disposed to talk about it in terms as best we may, and that means rational. If not to make sense, what are we talking for? And yet we have to know that what we talk about is more, is less—is other—than rational. All the opposition there is in the world is nothing much to this one: the way we try to talk in sensible terms—what else?—of what we know escapes (and we want it to) from sense.
