Y no supe si eran muro o coral. (Elena Salamanca) * from [INCOGNITA FLORA CUSCATLANICA] PART IV (excerpt) I’m running blind through the labyrinth of History. And everything I touch is tentacle and velvet. I scraped my fingers against the borders’ porosities. And I didn’t know if they were brick or coral. There was no surface yet, nor archipelagos, nor foothill. A shadow floating over the waters could be cloud or bomb. Millions of years ago a blind fish swam through the oceans, fugitive from the first explosion. (Translated by Ryan Greene)
